Why Donate? According to the American Psychological Association, each dollar spent on mental health services saves five in overall healthcare costs. On a more human level, your support means there is one more person who has a home. One more person who is starting a new job. One more person who is getting the medication they need to tackle another day. Your support helps real people lead more independent lives despite their mental illness.
At Thresholds, we know that a person isn't defined by a mental illness, and recovery is possible. Thresholds provides hope and support so that people can achieve a successful future.
Current Needs Donors may designate their gifts to a specific program or to one of the following programming categories:
- Supporting Economic Independence – Programs supporting housing, education and employment
- Fostering Health and Wellness – Programs supporting physical healthcare, holistic care, addiction, well-being and expressive arts
- Strengthening Families, Children and Youth – Programs supporting young adults, young mothers and their children
- Greatest Needs – These donations are designated to areas with the greatest and most compelling needs.
