Founded in 2008, the Thresholds Associates Board is a diverse group of emerging corporate and civic leaders primarily in their 20s and 30s who share a common vision to promote psychiatric recovery services at Thresholds. Thresholds assists and inspires people with severe mental illnesses to reclaim their lives by providing the supports, skills, and the respectful encouragement they need to achieve hopeful and successful futures. Thresholds strives to be the provider of choice, employer of choice, and a world leader in the development and evaluation of rehabilitation and recovery services. The Thresholds Associates Board supports this vision through its giving, sponsorship of educational, fundraising and other events and promotion of mental health awareness in the community. Expectations of Members
- Support, attend and invite friends and colleagues to special events.
- Recruit new members to the Thresholds Associates Board.
- Make a gift of at least $150 annually per individual, or $250 per couple.
- Serve as spokesperson for Thresholds to increase the awareness of Thresholds and its mission.

Mission of Thresholds Associates Board
The mission of the Thresholds Associates Board is to cultivate future volunteer leaders within Thresholds; to provide philanthropic support for Thresholds; and to increase awareness, among the membership and the community, of mental health issues and Thresholds’ comprehensive psychiatric recovery services. The Thresholds Associates Board also seeks to provide opportunities for members to network and socialize with other young professionals, as well as staff, Directors and other Chicago leaders.
