Kristin Davis oversees all internal evaluation activities at Thresholds. As the Director of the Evaluation Department, she is responsible for supporting information-based decision making and improving organizational performance. Kristin has broad experience in research methods, monitoring and evaluation, and qualitative analysis. Prior to heading up the Evaluation Department, Kristin was the Assistant Research Director and was responsible for designing and overseeing non-federal grant funded research studies, with a particular focus on integrated health care and wellness.
Izabela M. Krzos is the Senior Evaluation Manager at Thresholds. Her passion for developing a data fluent culture, using data for program improvement and an interest in developing innovative dashboard reports and data visualizations is what led Izabela to the field of monitoring and evaluation. In this role, Izabela oversees the implementation of evaluation and monitoring projects at Thresholds, works with stakeholders to define project objectives, data collection methods and deliverables that shape and influence service delivery. She brings expertise in project management, survey design, and quantitative and qualitative research methods. Izabela holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Ariel Brenits is an Evaluation Specialist at Thresholds. With more than four years’ experience working with service organizations around the world, she has developed a deep passion for helping community organizations succeed. In both her personal and professional life she has become an advocate for access to quality healthcare and housing, as she believes everyone should have the opportunity to live a healthy, independent, and thriving life. She is currently working to understand Thresholds members’ experience and present findings to program leaders to improve service. She is also monitoring program outcomes for all of Thresholds’ youth programs. Ariel holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from DePaul University.
Alex Schwank is an Evaluation Specialist at Thresholds who manages data collection and outcome reporting for the agency. He has an expertise in complex data analysis and quantitative research. Prior to working for Thresholds, Alex worked for local and state health departments to develop needs assessment and program evaluation for various public health programs, particularly with Medicaid claims data and surveillance databases. Alex provides expertise in biostatistics and epidemiological principles and is keen on contributing to the data-driven culture at Thresholds. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The Florida State University and a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida.
Vanessa Vorhies Klodnick is a senior researcher at Thresholds where she develops and studies innovative programs for at-risk transition age youth, including those with residential treatment and child welfare histories. Vanessa also is a co-investigator with the Transitions Research and Training Center at the University of Massachusetts where she is developing best-practices in young adult peer support. Vanessa was the 2014 Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association’s Carol Mowbray Early Career Researcher Award recipient and is an Adjunct Professor at the schools of social work at Loyola University of Chicago and The University of Chicago. Vanessa holds a PhD from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration; a masters in social work from the University of Texas at Austin; and is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Illinois.
